The VoltageBoosterPRO Texas Slim Edition is for the Toyota 4th gen 4Runner (2003-2009), Toyota FJ Cruiser (2007-2014), and the Lexus GX470 (2003-2009).
It’s slimmer, taller, and with longer legs than the OG model.
VoltageBoosterPRO is a user adjustable diode modification with an inline fuse that allows you to safely increase your alternator voltage to optimize your AGM battery charging. AGM batteries (Optima, Odyssey, Northstar) are undercharged when used with your factory alternator. Traditional flooded acid batteries at charged at ~13.8v, but AGM batteries often specify a charging voltage of 14.5+. Undercharging your AGM battery reduces battery lifespan and available charge capacity. The VoltageBoosterPRO lets you do a diode modification so that you can increase your alternator voltage output to charge your AGM battery a higher voltage while also maintaining a fuse for that circuit!
We HIGHLY recommend not doing the DIY GM Diode mod, which when done REMOVES the safety fuse of that circuit. The drop in GM Diode is NOT a fuse. Shorting a fuse using a plain diode is a bad idea. A team of engineers spent years designing the electrical system of your truck. If you do any diode mod, please make sure you have a fuse in that circuit! Otherwise if you have a short circuit, you will have a full battery amperage fire in your engine bay!
With this mod, you retain the fuse on that circuit, in a clean, easily removable package.
The “Low” mode provides ~0.4-0.5V of increased alternator voltage. The “High” mode is ~0.8-1.0V.
Each unit is made in San Antonio, Texas.

This product works flawlessly and does exactly as advertised. I’ve had it installed for about 3 months so far on my 1st gen Sequioa which it really isn’t meant for but I wired it in to work. I installed a pretty simple but loud sound system and wanted to provide the 2 aftermarket amps with the voltage they wanted. The stock Sequoia charging system like the GX470 runs at about 13.2- 13.5 volts at operating temp but now with the switch on high I average 14.3-14.6 volts at operating temp which is plenty. My sequoia is my driver and i put about 40-90miles per day with the voltage booster on high and on long trips out of town I turn it to low (my personal preference) and have had 0 issues with it. I love it.
Works great! Keeps power hungry FJ-Bōken happy.
So far…it’s as advertised. 14.2 volts on low setting and 14.8 on high
Awesome product, was able to fit in 5th gen 4Runner. Maybe make an updated model for 5th generation Toyotas
Worked great.
